Anika Chaudhary (she/her) is a rising senior at West Chester Bayard Rustin High School in Pennsylvania. She first discovered a passion for civic engagement when campaigning for her local mayor in 2015. Since then, she has continued to find new ways to elevate the voices in her own community. In 2020, she became a student ambassador for the When We All Vote organization, where she registered voters for the upcoming elections. Anika joined the advisory board of PA Youth Vote to further this effort by boosting youth involvement in the 2020 general elections, working as a scriptwriter and producer for the PA Youth Voices podcast, and creating educational content for the coalition’s social media pages. Anika’s goal is to build a new culture surrounding politics where younger generations can raise their voices and bring about change through advocacy and civic engagement. Anika currently serves as chair of the PA Youth Voices podcast committee, educating listeners on voting policies as well as speaking on social issues such as mental health, community healing, and stress placed by the education system.
